Now that hemp is legal in Texas, many of the larger counties (such as Dallas County) have chosen not to arrest most people caught with less than 4 oz in their possession. They are ticketed instead, but may still get jail time if found guilty of the offense. Other counties, like Tarrant County, have vowed to prosecute every marijuana possession case.
